Alvarez

collapse expand iconDescription

Alvarez Regent Series Ukuleles, like the baritone-sized RU22B, have been carefully designed to deliver an open sounding and responsive instrument with good projection, volume and fine tone.

All Alvarez ukes are constructed with a dovetail neck joint for optimal strength and transfer of energy between the neck and body. The bracing design is a modification on traditional fan style braces to optimize response. The response is also aided by a solid œslotted rosewood bridge, which enhances projection and helps to make string changes easier and quicker.

Other appointments and features include quality-seasoned tonewoods, real bone nut and saddles, mahogany neck, rosewood fingerboard and premium tuners.

Case sold separately.

Very good sound!

This baritone has a really good sound. It has deep, woody tones that are a pleasure to listen to. A very comfortable instrument to play, too. Light and well built, it looks and feels like a quality instrument. Neck is easy to navigate and the frets are nice and polished, no sharp ends at all. Holds tune very nicely since the first day. Did I mention that it has a great sound? Great value for the money.

I play tenor guitar and the baritone uke is tuned the same way, since I am traveling I can't take my old fragile tenor so I decided to purchase this as a traveling companion. I am impressed with the sound and also how well it is keeping its tuning.

  • Excellent sound.

My sole purpose in purchasing an inexpensive baritone ukulele was to restring it to GCEA Low G tuning so that I could play it the same way as my tenor ukulele. I already own two guitars and so the DGBE tuning did not really appeal to me. But, the slightly larger body fits me well and the longer scale gives my fingers a scosche more maneuvering room along the neck. Looks to be nicely made and finished for the price paid. Sounds pretty good and as soon as the strings arrive from the U.K. I'll be able to install them and evaluate this uke's sound in greater detail.

  • I am completely satisfied with this product.

My nieces all (4 of them) play the piano and string instruments. They have added the ukulele to there repertoire. I hope to join in the festiveities. I chose the baratone Uk. Because of its tuning . I am currently taking guitar lessons at your 44 st. Store .the guitar tuning Of the baratone will negate the need to learn new chords.

  • Excellent choice

I wanted a quality instrument to transition from my guitar to a ukulele and being an Alvarez fan this seemed like the logical choice. The quality is very good, tone soothing and fretting easy. Never having a baritone Uke before I have nothing to compare it to but that being said, I am very happy with my purchase. Like all ukuleles it takes a week, or more, of playing before the strings settle in an stop stretching. i can definitely recommend this ukulele to anyone wanting to test the water.

You need to bring it to a tech to see if the nut can be reversed. Unfortunately it can't be ordered that way
