I was excited to procure this battery/ac amp at a fair price, so I bought a used one listed as "great condition." These amps are hard to find on the used market and ZT told me in an email production has ceased for this model until Q2 2022. The amp was indeed in semi-great condition except for a small puncture in the foam of the 5" speaker which buzzed. Quality control was obviously lacking as it's noticeable while playing the bass strings on an electric guitar irrespective of where the ZT's tone control is set. Accessing the speaker simply requires removing the grill without tools and applying a bit of speaker glue to the damaged part of the cone. I did it myself instead of returning it to GC, which I would have pondered if ZT wasn't horrendously backlogged. These amps sound stellar for home, busking, or as a personal stage monitor. I have two of them for a stereo pedalboard and Rick-O-Matic guitar. I have a DI on my pedalboard. I wouldn't mic the ZT. Conversely, the active tone control has excessive bass for the small speaker to handle, and I suspect many amps result in ripped cones if played loudly with the tone control at less than 12:00.

Excellent portability with jack's for 12v DC for power and 9v output to power your pedals. At only 5 pounds and smaller than the average kids lunchbox, this amp is amazingly portable and lightweight. Highly recommended!

I bought this amp a couple of days ago, and I was blown away by the sound. It has a rich, warm, sound, and definitely doesn't lack volume. The construction is solid, and I like the fact that it is metal, rather than wood. However, it can't produce a very aggressive tone by itself, so I plan on ordering a tone pedal to fix this. Outside of this issue, I love this product.

I bought this to use the direct out for my streaming shows, it has a great sound. It is not a do everything amp. But what it does do is right on the money. It has a good sound which is fairly adjustable. I run pedals through it and the other day I picked up the cabinet. Now we all know that moving air is the way you make sound and this little baby does very well moving air. I was playing around and hooked up a 4-12 fender cab to it and I can tell you it rocks! a little bassy but that can be fixed with some knob turning. I was kind of taken back by the volume. and I can say now it is an amp I could take to a live gig. But even with out the 4-12 it would hook up to any PA with out a problem. now I can haul a small mixer and this amp and all I need to play into a suitcase. there is not a bar in town I could not use this and I should say not a bar in the world as it uses dual voltage. No it is not a huge amp with unusable volumes it is a small amp I can use anywhere. now if they would just make a tiny power amp with the same dual voltage for a PA things could even be better. At 63 I need all the help I can get toting the equipment around.
